One afternoon, searching for bakar khani — a layered, buttery bread eaten at celebrations across Pakistan and Bangladesh — in Urdu script, there were zero results. Not one listing. Not one seller.
As if an entire world of food, culture, and community simply did not exist online. That moment made something clear: millions of people living in the UK were invisible to digital commerce. Not because their needs were small, but because the platforms were not built with them in mind.

Hafiza Sidra holds an MSc in Computer Science from Pakistan and an MSc in Digital Marketing from the UK, with years of hands-on experience in ecommerce and SEO — giving her the tools to understand exactly why ethnic communities were being left behind in digital commerce, and how to fix it.
Fatima Global is named after her daughter, Fatima — a permanent reminder of why this work matters, and who it is truly built for.
